Use the form below to request that a currently checked out Mardigian Library item be returned and placed on the hold shelf for you.
When you submit this form:
- A library staff member will receive an email message (Monday-Friday, excluding library closures) with the request information and check to see if the requested item is eligible for recall.
- If the item is eligible for recall, the current borrower will receive a notice to return the item within 10 days from the date that the library sent out the notice. Every borrower is guaranteed at least a 3 week checkout, unless an item is being recalled to support classroom instruction.
- When the item is returned, it will be put on hold for you at the Library Info Desk. An email notice will be sent to your "umich" account informing you that the item is ready for pickup.
- If an item is not eligible for recall, you will be contacted via email.
Recall Policy: Recalled items are charged a $15 per day late fee for every day an item is overdue past the recall date. Recalls are not eligible for fine appeal. Replacement fees are $90 per lost item.
