FACULTY DELIVERY & PROXY CARD

Faculty Delivery

Materials available for request are:

  • Circulating books
  • Circulating audiovisual materials
  • Reserve materials on reserve for your class

Materials not available for delivery are: currently checked out items (try a hold/recall), ILL and MeLCat materials, materials on Reserve for another faculty member, reference items, periodicals, micofilm/micofiche, and items that are marked in library use only.

  • Guidelines
    • Faculty and staff may request UM-Dearborn owned library materials online. We do not take phone requests.
    • You may choose to have the items held at the Access Services Desk, or checked out to your library account and delivered via campus mail.
    • Requests will be processed within 24 hours of receipt.
    • Please allow 1-2 days for delivery via campus mail.
    • Regular loan rules apply.
    • This is not a rush service.
    • Requests are limited to three per day, six per week.
    • This service is free.
    • We may periodically survey users to assess the service.
  • How to request materials
    • Search the library catalog to determine availability of the item.
    • Use the request form.
    • Up to three items may be requested per form.
    • Requests are limited to three per day, six per week.
    • The library does not accept telephone requests.
  • Delivery
    • Requested materials will be shipped to you via campus mail.
    • Items will be shipped within 24 hours of receipt of request.
    • Please allow 1-2 days for delivery via campus mail.
  • Returning Materials
    • Materials may be returned inside the library.
    • In the curbside drop box outside the library.
    • For your protection, we do not not recommend returning materials via campus mail.

Proxy Card

Current UM-Dearborn faculty, students, and staff members may designate a Proxy Card holder to check out and return materials.

A limit of two proxy cards are allowed per account.
